Airport Washington – Reagan National Airport (DCA) is located 3.5 miles from the heart of the District or a 15-minute cab ride. Washington – Dulles International Airport (IAD) is 26 miles from the District or a 45-minute cab ride. Baltimore – Washington International (BWI) is located 35 miles north of Washington D.C. or a 1-hour ride to downtown D.C. Train The conveniently located Union Station, just north of the Capitol is the Amtrak port of arrival and departure. Most trains serve the Eastern Seaboard, particularly the Northeast Corridor (from D.C. to Boston). There is service to the Midwest and connecting trains to other points.
