Research Nurse Specialist at Maine Medical Center
Maine Medical Center (MMC), in Portland Maine has created a new position of Research Nurse Specialist that would be ideally suited to a doctorally prepared nurse who is clinically current and would enjoy the opportunity to mentor and coach nurses in conducting clinically based research. MMC is a progressive, innovative, 637-bed Magnet hospital and is part of the MaineHealth system. The MMC is expanding its Center for Nursing Research and Quality Outcomes by adding this position. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree (PhD, DNP) have at least 2-3 years of clinical practice experience and have good skills in the conduct of research and managing complex projects from development through follow up. The person will not be expected to conduct his or her own research but rather will help those in the Clinical Scholar Program at Maine Medical Center with their research.
