How do I participate in the virtual State of the Science Congress on Nursing Research?
The State of the Science Congress on Nursing Research will be held virtually on September 17 - 18, 2020 and will include streaming and on-demand access to conference content including keynote, panel, symposia of distinction, and abstract presentations, as well as the CANS award presentation and 20th anniversary celebration. See the program for more details on speakers and sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from top nurse scientists, including the National Institute for Nursing Research (NINR) Director. The event is designed for researchers and early, mid-career, and senior nurse scientists from academia and practice. After completing the online registration, you will receive an email with the virtual event portal and login information prior to the conference.

How will Q&A and networking be facilitated through the virtual platform?
Presentations will feature a chat function to allow for Q&A with speakers and networking forums will be available as well for attendees to connect with each other, abstract presenters, and special interest groups.

What is included in my conference registration fee?
Registration includes access to the keynotes and panel sessions, networking opportunities, sponsor spotlights, virtual exhibit hall, poster sessions, on-demand content, and includes Contact Hours.

Is there a fee to purchase the continuing education credits?
No, the fee for Contact Hours is included in the registration rate.

How do I receive continuing nursing education credits for attending the conference?
The fee for Contact Hours is included in the registration rate. Contact hours are awarded by the American Academy of Nursing following the completion of the virtual event. Continuing education certificates will be sent following the virtual conference. The American Academy of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

How will abstracts be presented and viewed?
The virtual platform will feature an abstract directory that can be viewed and there will be dedicated abstract networking hours where attendees can login and use a live chat feature to ask questions to the presenters. Abstract poster and podium presentations will be pre-recorded and available through on-demand access.

Will I have the opportunity to visit the virtual exhibit hall?
Yes, the platform will feature a virtual exhibitor hall where exhibitors and attendees can connect through live chat.

Will I be able to access the content from the conference after the event?
Conference content will be available with extended on-demand access through the end of 2020. Please note, you must register for the conference to access the content after September 17 - 18.
