About the Conference:
The 2016 State of the Science Congress on Nursing Research will focus on Determinants of Health and their implications for nursing science and health policy.
Conference Purpose:
Participants will increase their knowledge of determinants of health and implications for nursing science.
Conference Objectives:
- Identify innovative strategies to optimize health in individuals, populations, and health systems taking into account determinants of health.
- Apply research findings related to determinants of health to diverse populations and across the lifespan.
- Discuss the implications of the emerging science related to determinants of health for nursing research and health policy.

**In commemoration of its 30th anniversary, the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) will host “Advancing Science, Improving Lives: A Window to the Future” on September 14, 2016 from 3:00pm-5:45pm at the Washington Hilton in Washington DC. This event will bring together scientists, healthcare professionals, and members of the public to examine the advancements in nursing science that build the foundation for clinical practice and enhance the health of the nation. This scientific symposium will feature distinguished scientific speakers and include panel discussions on the topics of sleep and precision medicine.
